Error Messages after Upgrade?

Hello,

Been receiving these two variation of emails about an error after i upgraded to 6.1

An error was encountered during execution of the query:

SELECT id,user,userid,cat,storecat,title,ismature,bigimage,height,width, id*0+RAND() as rand_col FROM pp_photos WHERE approved=1 AND storecat=0 AND cat IN (523,c) ORDER BY rand_col DESC LIMIT 37

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Unknown column 'c' in 'where clause'

and then right after it...

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Unknown column 'c' in 'where clause'

any ideas? did the upgrade not complete succesfully?

i've also encountered an issue where my categories dont' exist anymore and on the index page where it's suppose to show category, photos, comments, last photo uploaded..it's all messed up..see attachment.

also to turn off these emails..it says :

To turn off these emails, set $debug=0 in your config-inc.php file.

but i don't see it in my config-inc.php file.

receive a new error....column 'a' now along with the 'c' from above.

if it helps...i went through the upgrade process to 6.1 and then it said i should remove upgrade.php before continuing. did i maybe not finish?

I had something very similar when I upgraded yesterday. I solved that by going into admin>edit cats>and then altering a setting in there for the top level category. I am not 100% sure but I believe I altered the first option (Contains thumbnails) and set it to no. That brought back the normal layout with all the cats accessible. Anyway it was definitely a setting in there that was causing the issue, take a look and good luck.

nice! thanksfor the help on that one. it was under edit category > then the default thumbnail layout..i had it under gallery and once i switched it to thumbnails all my categories and layout came back to normal. phew!

let's see if that'll fix the error messages i'm getting still show up after this.

I couldn't remember which setting it was for sure, I am glad it got it sorted for you.

it looks like the error message above were also fixed with this change. i haven't received any emails after that. just incase anyone is wondering.
