Problem with vbulletin integration I'm trying to install photopost pro and integrate it with vbulletin. I think that my config-inc.php file is set up correctly, but when I go to the photopost gallery, it give me this error message at the top: Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /forums/photopost.php on line 25 The rest of the gallery looks fine. I'm a complete newbie at doing this, so if someone could take pity on my and explain what this error means, and what I need to do about it, I would really appreciate it! Thanks! Leigh |
This error suggests to me you have not installed Photopost to integrate with vbulletin. You on install selected internal integration not external Rerun install and on config make sure all the database info is correct on the config for both photopost and vb and continue on. where it asks internal or external you select external. Make sure vb3 is selected on the drop down and answer all the info correctly moving through install and you should be fine. |
Hi Chuck - thanks for your response. I'm running the install again, and I get into problems at step 3. Here's what I get (times about 200) Quote:
Quote:
Path to PhotoPost Installation (must be set properly for script to work) Name of the PhotoPost templates directory templates If you change the name of the templates directory, indicate it here PhotoPost Database Host localhost PhotoPost Database Name www3pix_gallery PhotoPost Database User www3pix_superch PhotoPost Database Password *** PhotoPost Database Prefix (cannot be changed once set) pp_ User Database Host (enter same info as above if not integrating with a third party forum) localhost User Database Name www3pix_forumdatabase User Database User www3pix_superch User Database Password *** VB3 License Number (if using VB3 integration, you must enter your license number here). *** You can find this number by checking your index.php file in your vB3 directory. The 4th line in the file looks like: || # vBulletin 3.0.0 - Licence Number ######## Default Gallery Language english Thumbnail Generator GD2 Path for MOGRIFY executable usr/bin/mogrify Any ideas?? |
Duplicate issues are not an issue just keep going through install. remember you already ran install once and the tables exist so you will get that. |
Good to know Ok - I proceeded, and have a question about this: Server Path to Forum directory - is this the forum inside the photopost gallery , or the vbulletin forum. I used ...coop/forum, and got a sucessfull install, but now when try to log into the gallery as an admin, I get this: Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in edited to add that I reinstalled under a new folder called "coop" (instead of gallery, which is what I typed in msg. 3). |
REMOVED that should be correct |
Yay - that worked! Thanks Chuck! Ok, now when I go to log out, I get this: The requested URL /coop/login.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Any ideas? |
How about providing us with a url here please |
|
Okay how about a test login as if the login link is in your header this should work fine. |
Try username: test password: test I get the error msg in Firefox, and in IE nothing happens - I'm redirected to the main gallery page, still logged in as test (even after I get the confirmation screen that says Are you sure you want to log out, and I click yes). |
Thats your issue you have some latency vb 2.0 logout link in the footer. You can try correcting that link in your vb footer template to a full url not relative and it should work fine. |
When I try to edit the footer in the admin, here's the message I get: File being edited: Warning: This file does not exist or is not writable; when you submit this form we will attempt to create this file. If we are unable to do so (check your path and permissions), then we will notify you of the error. It shouldn't be going to - that folder doesn't exist. It should be . How do I change that? Can that be edited from the photopost admin? The header has the same error message (with photopost602 instead of coop). |
Ok - I found where to change the header and footer paths to in Global Settings. So those are working properly, but I'm still getting the same error. Quote:

I think you misunderstand. You need to go to your vbulletin admin panel and select styles admin and select your style and edit templates and edit your footer template in vbulletin and correct that relative link to a full url for the logout link. |
I'm getting that message too. am I looking for the footer file for my forum directory (vbulletin directory?) |
well always helps to provide a url so we know your issue is the same as this thread but yes if you have some logout link in your footer and not the navbar like a normal vb style sure you would have to make that relative link to a full url in your vb footer template. |
Ok - I'm back! I've tried posting over at vbulletin, but I really think there is somehting I need to do in the admin of photopost. All the links in the header work when I'm in the forums - it's only in the gallery where they are referencing the wrong folder. The header links (log in, user CP, etc) and footer links (contact us, admin, etc) are pointing to the wrong folder when they're linked to from the gallery. If I need to change the path from ..../forum/usercp.php to ..../henhouse/usercp.php - how and where do I do that? Like I said, everything is working fine in the vbulletin forum. The config-int.php file is already correct in photopost: Basically, there is no reference to .../forum anywhere that I can find, yet that's where all the header and footer links are going. Forum: www.3pixelchicks.com/henhouse Gallery: www.3pixelchicks.com/coop login / password: test / test You'll need to login to the henhouse then go to the coop, since the login link is wrong in the coop... Thanks for any help or advice! :) |
I do not beleive this has nothing to do with a photopost setting. You have your forum url correctly entered in photopost that I am seeing Try in your vb admin options the general settings make sure you have the correct url in there to the forums. |
Yes - it's definitely the correct URL in vbulletin - as I said, if you log into to the forums, all the header and footer links are pointing to the right URL (.../henhouse/whatever.php). It's only in the photopost gallery where they are pointing to .../forum/whatever.php. The links need to all be pointing to .../henhouse - there is no forum directory on our server. There is nowhere in the vbulletin admin that shows .../forum, so there's no way to fix it. |
