| Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 9
Hi there have just installed Photopost and am getting the following error when uploading an image:
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 9
Command:
"/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 51x100 -quality 70 -geometry 51x100 -unsharp 10 '/home/www/worldbow/bowls-photos-new/data/503/thumbs/liquid-force-ps3.jpg'
I have checked all permisions in data folders and sub folders- they are 777.
Does the photopost gallery folder have to be writeable as well?, it is currently set to 777.
Any ideas?

Try making sure mogrify exists where your saying it does and if not try setting your processor to gd2 and see if that helps.

Hi Chuck thanks for the reply, my host tells me that is the correct path, I changed to gd2 that has seemed to work to an extent.
I can now upload small size images fine.
Anything over about 1,500kb and I get the following error:
Problem running JPEGTRAN:
"/usr/bin/jpegtran" -copy none /home/www/worldbow/bowls-photos-new/data/503/IMG_1370.JPG
Error Code: 9
Any ideas?

Try removing jpegtran from the global options and let me know if the issue is resolved.

Working!
Thats seems to be working - Thanks chuck
---- One other question - everything works fine & normal except when uploading more than 1 image, on the next page of the upload process (bulkupload.php I think it is) my included header is no longer at the top of the page but comes down into the upload container and obstructs options from view?

I would suspect you have some html issue with your header I have never heard of such an issue with the code if proper html is used.

I went to edit one of my images (by uploading a new image).. everything seemed to work fine but a thumbnail hadn't been created. So I went to try to rebuild the thumbnail and received these errors:
Warning: getimagesize(/home/pgd3s1gn/public_html/scraporchard/gallery/data/502/200802DCTAssign.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pgd3s1gn/public_html/scraporchard/gallery/image-inc.php on line 264
Warning: Division by zero in /home/pgd3s1gn/public_html/scraporchard/gallery/image-inc.php on line 311
Warning: copy(/home/pgd3s1gn/public_html/scraporchard/gallery/data/502/200802DCTAssign.jpg) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pgd3s1gn/public_html/scraporchard/gallery/image-inc.php on line 327
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1
Command:
"/usr/bin/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 0x150 -quality 70 -geometry 0x150 '/home/pgd3s1gn/public_html/scraporchard/gallery/data/502/thumbs/200802DCTAssign.jpg'
Up until now, everything in the gallery has been working just fine.. please help!?

The errors your posting tell me permissions are not correct. I would suggest you check to ensure ever directory under data at every level is 777 permissions.

Thanks!
Do I need to change the permissions everytime a new category is created? Because I have had to do this several times already and I am positive I am getting everything folder in the Data folder and the Data folder set correctly?

it depends are permissions being set incorrectly when you create a new cat? It all depends on really what your true issue is. The errors you posting tell me the directories do not exist or permissions are wrong its an absolute error there.

All of a sudden with no changes on my gallery I get the following error when trying to upload photos to my gallery:
Error creating resized original.
Command:
"/homepages/XX/XXXXXXXX/htdocs/imagemagik/bin/mogrify" -quality 70 -geometry 1446x2500 '/homepages/XX/XXXXXXXX/htdocs/my-domain/gallery/data/520/001_Pop.jpg'
Error code: 9
What has gone wrong?
