| Featured Photos not working
I recently decided to add a new style to my forum however I noticed that the featured photos doesn't show up. When I checked it with the default VB style it doesn't show up there either.
It does show up in the style I had set as default when Photopost was installed, but I would like to know what I need to edit in order for it to show up for my other styles as well. http://www.Strike-Force.net (work and family friendly)
My current default style is OSF - Brown, and the one I had as default (which featured photo's shows up on) is Delisiosso

well if it works for the one style I would suspect you need to add the template edit in your alternate new styles like so vB TEMPLATE ADDITIONS
===================== Quote:
1) In your vB templates, select Forum Home Templates and edit the FORUMHOME template.
To include the PhotoPost "features" box, add the variable $photopostfeature to your template:
$header
$navbar
$photopostfeature
This places the feature at the top of the forum (as done on our site).

Hey chuck, I have it enabled, but not sure what it does. I see no difference in it being on or off on the home page.. What am I looking for?

Your not running a VB FORUM so there is no photo block modification to the forum.

You turn on featured photos in showphoto and showgallery with the switch in show photo options in admin. Yeah the block he is talking about that shows on his forum is a vb addon the forum we have extra integration stuff with.

You are misunderstanding what I am saying I think. This thread is about a vb forum block
You can not show a forum block on your forum as their is not one created for phpbb3. Your free to look in the mod forum for photo blocks that might work but I cant tell you how to hack phpbb3
My last response was on how to show featured photo blocks in the showgallery script. You can turn on featured photos on the showgallery script by setting the switch in admin => show photo options to show features on that page.

I undertstand what the discussion is about - I suppose I could open a new thread, but just figured I would ask here.
The question now is if the Featured photo function is supposed to work in a stand alone version of photopost? The admin function does not state that it is only for forum integration..
If it is supposed to work on a standalone version, what am I missing in order for it to show.

What about my last post did you not understand? Thats where I am lost here as I thought I had answered your questions.
You can show featured photo blocks recent photos random photos and most popular blocks in photopost and I show you have those turned on. You can not show photos on your forum without creating some forum modification photo block.

Sorry Chuck, I see where you are going with this. I am not talking about the same site at all, rather a totally different. I can open up another post in order to drop the confusion?
I run the site at skidpics.com.. not the one mentioned originally in this post. I run it standalone except for SMF forum integration for registration purposes only for now..
I do have the featured photo enabled, not interested in showing it in the forum, rather, just in photopost, but I do not know how to get it to show in the PP application. I think we are both confused now. How do you get a featured photo featured?

Is this not your site. I see featured photos blocks. You have recent and random showing right on your index.

My apologies - I thought the featured block was something totally different. My random and Latest images show up regardless if the block is turned on.. that is what I wondering about then. I though perhaps it allows us to tag photos or galleries as a 'featured' photo or something..

yeah the featured photos blocks are those blocks. The switch in show photo options will show those blocks on your showphoto and showgallery scripts which you currently have turned off http://skidpics.com/galleries/showphoto.php/photo/522 |

The option I noted in admin => show photo options to show featured photos on those pages is turned off.
