| Migrated to new web host and now blank page
Hi there, as per the title, I moved my server to a new host. The directory tree has changed, and I suspect its causing the issues. Used to be /home/vhost/html but now is /var/www/vhosts/httpdocs.
Can anybody suggest remediation steps? Has been so long since I even touched ppost.

Yes thats the confusing part here what do you mean by that. If you want to get to your photopost admin login to the product and hit admin on the menubar to get to your admin control panel.

Unfortunately my migration started before I got the following migration URL: How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories
One thing I didn't do was set chmod 777 /ppost -R before archiving the vhost.
Now that I have the files on the new host, they owner and group is root. Perms are not 777 for the ppost directory + sub directories. Should I do:
chmod 777 ../ppost -R
Don't want to do this without checking for fears of security issues. To clarify:
- I've changed paths in config files to match new vhost.
- I've updated the DB login/password to match new DB.
- I've verified DB access using that login/pass
- When I click on the forum link to PPost, I get a blank screen. So I can't view or make any changes via the PPost admin page.

You only want to recursively change permissions to 777 on the data and uploads directories under photopost.
You need to make sure in the database settings table for photopost the urls and server paths are correct in that table also if integrating with vb3 make sure the config-int.php file has the correct info.

Thanks Chuck.
Ok so I did:
#chmod 777 ./uploads -R
#chmod 777 ./data -R
I updated config-inc.php with correct paths and DB login/pass
This is integrated with VB3.6.8 PL2, so I updated config-int.php with correct paths:
$vbpath = "/var/www/vhosts/touch-buddy.com/forums";
$pppath = "/var/www/vhosts/touch-buddy.com/ppost";
When I browse to the URL of the gallery, nothing happens. http://www.touch-buddy.com/ppost/sho...e=0&way=&cat=2
Just the good old hourglass :P

You might want to run through an install and make sure your input the proper info as it looks to me like you have incorrect information there.

No it will not delete old photos etc just make sure to install into your current database tables as simply put an install is going to basically update your paths and urls in the database which is where your issue is no doubt.

You can use the latest install.php file and then upgrade after you get things showing sure.

| How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories
Same thing if you moved your site this should help but if you moved before preparing you need to rerun install and correctly install on the new server.

The path in your config-int.php file the $vbpath line should read the correct path to your vbulletin as the path is incorrect there. i cant tell you what the right path to your forum is but i would think it is not that. Also your locked in by php to only use paths like it says in open_basedir.

If your server path is indeed that subdomain path if you want to use the enhanced forum integration you need to turn off open_basedir in php settings on the server.
