Errors after switching from Linux to Windows

I decided to colocate a windows server so I could host game servers more effectively but now I am having problems with my Photopost 5.13 album (tried upgrading it but it said that tables were missing and stuff).

The problem that I am having is that the pages take a while to load (actually they don't, it just takes a while for the error to be spit out on the bottom of the page)... you can see for yourself at http://www.surfacezero.com/g503

Error in my_thread_global_end(): 1 threads didn't exit PHP Notice: Undefined variable: argv in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\index.php on line 15 PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\pp-inc.php on line 771 PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\index.php on line 160

Any ideas???

Your site looks fine and I see no errors but if your running a very old version you need to upgrade. I see your running a copy almost 3 years old.

my_thread_global_end()

thats not a photopost function in anyway so cant say where that comes from.

I try to backup the database prior to upgrade thru the control panel and I receive these errors:

Unable to fork [ --opt -h localhost blackdog_g503ppsort > D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppsort.sql] in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1620 PHP Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppsort.sql in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1622 PHP Warning: system() [function.system]: Unable to fork [ --opt -h localhost blackdog_g503ppsortmemb > D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppsortmemb.sql] in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1620 PHP Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppsortmemb.sql in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1622 PHP Warning: system() [function.system]: Unable to fork [ --opt -h localhost blackdog_g503ppusergroups > D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppusergroups.sql] in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1620 PHP Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppusergroups.sql in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1622 PHP Warning: system() [function.system]: Unable to fork [ --opt -h localhost blackdog_g503ppusers > D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppusers.sql] in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1620 PHP Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/sqlbackup/ppusers.sql in D:\web\surfacezero.com\public_html\g503\adm-misc.php on line 1622

UNable to fork means you do not have permission to backup there meaning permissions are not correct. Backup your database through your webhosting control panel and then proceed to do an upgrade, Make sure to run any upgrade you need to run only once.

Still haven't figured out what permissions have gone awry. I don't have a control panel because I run everything straight through IIS. What permissions need to be given to what users and what files for PP? Also some people are getting errors such as:

Unable to read the format of file: D:/web/surfacezero.com/public_html/g503/data/500/IMG_00051.JPG

In the backend of your windows server where you set permissions on files and folders you need to set permissions on the data and uploads folders to have READ WRITE EXECUTE permissions adding the users IWAM IUSER guests and that should allow you to upload to the gallery. Per the install instructions 777 permissions need to be on those folders and in windows that translates to READ WRITE EXECUTE.
