Thumbs down Install Error...

We're sorry, but we encountered an error during the installation process...

Unable to create/write to /home/public_html/forums/photopost/data! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.

Now I have changed what was needed to 777 and I have done this over and over and over and over. Wiped everything out, then re-uploaded all the files, changes the permissions just like the instructions say...and again I get this damn message... Im ready to put my fist thru my computer screen.

How can it be so damn hard to install this when you have every set right!!!! Unless the instructions are not up todate.....

In the instructions is says to change the permissions for the .sql and php. from the zip file. THERE WERE NO sql's!!!!!! only PHP's....

I get to the point to where it asks me if I want to intergrade it with vBulletin and I press the link for that and thats the error I get...

Now there were times when I deleted all files and folders from my folder "photopost" and then I get "error 144" can't delete file or folder, whats up with that!!!!!

Please help...

3 days of this and I just can't take it anymore....

Thanks guys...

The error your posting is pretty much straight forward your data directory is not 777 at every level beneath it. Set data and every last directory beneath it to 777 and you should be fine.
