| new to installation
Hi
I am very very new to this kind of stuff ,the instructions arnt written for pple like myself haha.
Ok I created a photopost folder and uploaded the files to it ,I will be using my existing VB database.
Now in the config file I have entered my DB username and pass ect but what do I put for the path [quote]// Path to your PhotoPost installation - no end slashes
$PP_PATH = "/home/sites/yoursite/photopost";[quote]
would I put my domain name in the path? eg // Path to your PhotoPost installation - no end slashes
$PP_PATH = "/home/sites/http:/taskforcealliance.com/photopost"; ?
I will be using my existing forums for login ect .
Yes I am not a computer genious I basically only learnt how to run a server last week haha.

With your list of errors. Post 3 you have not uploaded all the proper files.
With post 4 that tells me your not entering the correct vbulletin database info under the user database portion.
You do not enter details in config directly you would run install.php and enter the right details.
Here are the install instructions this might help you. http://www.photopost.com/installphp.html |

OK
I have run into a few minor problem's
1: is this when I installed and run fresh this Icon is missing http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/ima...4446690cae.jpg is this normal.
2: How can we find the photopost once its installed ,I have no idea how to direct my members to it ,is there supposed to be a button on the menu ,I dont have one Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
I go about getting one in my menu?
3: I am running a forum template, but as I expected the buttons and stuff are not working within photopost http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/ima...08eea1176c.jpg I think its something to do with me movong some files from my template into your photopost folder ,but if thats it then what should I move, and if at all is it fixable.
No rush to get this fixed ,im slowly building this site, but I hope I can get all this corrected ,and please keep in mind Chuck I am a novice at all this,I am even suprised I have even got this far.

1. Check your forum url entered in Admin => Forum Settings and your url in your vb global admin options to make sure its correct. Right clicking the x and letting us know the path it to looking for that image will show the true error so posting a real url to your site is essential here.
2. Again post a url to your install if you install it then it is available under the same url like so http://www.mysite.com/gallery/index.php
3. Using a custom vb template you must go to vbulletin admin and go to your style admin area and view your vb style settings and the global relative image links like so need to be full url
images/misc
would be
http:/www.mysite.com/forums/images/misc

You would edit your vbulletin navbar template in vb admin and place a link to the gallery in there. This is something you add manually yourself to vbulletin.

OK everything is running as it should ,but there is 1 minor problem.
The blog link thru Vb ,when I use the forums the blog navbutton works, but when I go to photo post ,and hit blog it gives me a page not found and tries look for this link http://taskforcealliance.com/gallery/blog.php.
All the other navbar buttons work within the Gallery bar that 1,I know its a directory issue of some kind ,how can I fix this Chuck.
Other than that problem all seems to be be OK.

You would need to in your vb admin edit templates and edit your blog_navbar template and correct that relative link to a full urls. vbulletin is famous for not putting their global url path in front of links.
