Black Boxes on SPECIFIC photos!

I have a very weird problem.

My gallery works ok overall, except that I have some specific photographs, that produce a black box instead of a thumbnail, when I select the thumbnail-round from the AdminCP. Check the link: http://www.travelstories.gr/photo/sh...p?cat=4&page=4

You can see that the second and the last photo in this page produce a black box (you can also see almost all photos on the next page have the same problem). If you click, the photo comes up ok. This only occurs in Firefox

Now, if I change back to normal thumbnail border, it's working ok. Also if I choose another border type like stacks, it also works!!!

This is really weid, I've been trying to see if there's something special about these photos and I simply can't. I have already rebuilt all thumbnails - same results.

The issue is the name of your photos is incompatible with a background style tag.

Basically a background url styletag goes like this

backgroun-url(http://www.travelstories.gr/photo/da..._(armonio).jpg)

The parentheses in your filename break the background tag. Only way around that is to rename your files or do not use the overlays.

Fantastic, how could I miss that. I would never have thought of that myself.

Many thanks for your quick response Chuck, I will rename the pictures manually, and instruct the members not to upload images with parentheses - or does photopost reject automatically these kinds of photos? (the ones I have now were moved from a coppermine installation).

Regards.

I have never personally tested that theory with filenames just something I saw by looking at your style. The image itself is fine with parentheses however you cant use it in a background tag because of the filename.

Ok thanks I'll test it myself. :)
