| New install separate integration
I am currently running 5.6.2 and have an clean install of 6.01 in a separate directory and database. All data files have been coppied into the new 6.01 directory. I no longer want to use the VB3 integration that was installed with the 5.6.2 installation. I have read the many separate VB from photopost integration threads but I can not tell exactly the steps needed to move the users from one database to the others. Can I move a few tables from the previous integration? Would it be possible to provide a step by step integration separation instructions somewhere in the forums (like the process of moving from one server to another)? If a script is needed, is there a way to get one developed to make this process feasible for most users?
Thanks,
Larry

Larry there is no concievable way to get rid of a forum once you select a forum integration. You can switch from one forum to another as long as those forums have the proper scripts to convert users and to my knowledge no one has ever wrote such a script to get rid of vbulletin since the norm is to add a forum. You could attempt to alter this script here in backwards and use it as a template for you to create your own script and try it. Want to go from standalone to Vbulletin in Photopost?
Basically you need to write one backwards to this.

| need more help
I'm willing to support development of a script that takes an existing pp_vb installation and converts it to a pp only installation. In my case, I'd like to work with a clean 6.01 install and a new clean database and pull in all of the data from the pp_vb install into the clean new database. I can't write the script myself but I can provide monetary support to develop the script. I think this would be a valuable edition to the tools available to users - I never would have selected the vb in the first place if I knew it would lock me into a forum forever. Please let me know if this is a possibility and how to proceed if it is possible.
Thanks,
Larry
P.S. While the norm is to integrate with a forum, there are a number of requests for assistance to un-do the integration. I'm not alone in this request.

I can write such a script but only can do so at my leisure since my first priority is support of these scripts. If support is heavy I have no free time to do anything else but you can email me at chuck@photopost.com |

Chuck;
If you have not received an email yet, there is probably a spam filter issue.
I can use another server if needed.

Chuck:
I have developed another strategy for the request I emailed you. Please do not work on the project bid at this time. I will let you know if I need assistance in the future.
Thanks,
Larry
