Help with thumbnail quality/color...

I know this isnt the right section for this, but I need help. I entered my serial number, but I'm still waiting. Either way, I'm a paying customer that owns this software. I'd like some quick help. I've very frustrated at this point because one little issue is holding me back right now. Heres the issue:

My photos after being uploaded were showing up grayish, with minimal color. We got that figured out and its ok now.

The issue now is the thumbnails are still that grayish, crappy quality, no color type deal. I can't figure out what would make the thumbnails show good quality and colors. What are some settings that affect this that I can play with? Someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks. Jon

P.S. - If this thread gets deleted, please at least PM me with some help. I'm a paying customer. Thanks.

Your problem looks to have nothing to do with entering a license number. I suspect your issue is in becoming a verified customer. Your using the wrong email for your account. So if you would like to be verified please follow this post.

That will help your first issue. The second issue which you state you fixed is the fact you selected the wrong GD version for your server. I am assuming you have corrected this in Global Options selecting the proper GD version for your server for the image processor. if you have done this and new photos show fine you can go into admin to scan database and select the options to rebuild thumbnails and medium images and hit submit. The program will rebuild your medium and thumbnail images correctly.

Ok, the Verified Member thing is throwing me off because my programmer installed the software for me. Now I'm just trying to set everything up and configure it. I'll look into that asap.

Secondly, I fixed the actual pictures by going to "upload photo options". Next I went to the field: "Trigger medium graphic height and width
An uploaded larger than this will create a medium image of this size." I increased that value, which fixed the pictures. Now when I upload a new picture, the picture itself is perfect, but the thumbnail still shows gray and low quality. That make any sense? I really appreciate the help. I am so close, the thumbnail is all I need to be good to go.

Okay so backup a little. Go to Admin => PHPINFO and check which GD version your server has. Then go to Admin => Global Options and set the proper image processor and save. You can then go in and do as posted in my last post to fix images.

Ok, thanks. I got it fixed. I really appreciate it. It was something with the image processor thing. You might want to move this thread to the help sections just in case someone else has a similar problem.

I'll get to work on becoming verified. Thanks again! Jon
