Cannot access Control Panel

I just did a fresh install of vBulletin, vbPortal and Photopost Pro using the latest versions of each. All went well except that I cannot access the Photopost control panel.

When I log in it recognises my user name and password used for vBulletin and vbPortal (using the vBulletin DB for all) but it just takes me to the Photopost index.

vbPortal and vBulletin recognize me as admin.

Any suggestions please?

I don't think I changed anything but now I can't log in at all. I enter my user name and password. It says thank you for logging in takes me to the index and I am not logged in.

I guess it is something to do with cookies but how do I fix it when I can't even log in?

I looked at all the related posts. I then used PHPMyAdmin to to check/set the following:

Photopost Settings

cookie_path = /
cookieprefix = bb
cookie_domain = .freeadsasia.com

vBulletin Settings

Path to Save Cookies = /
Cookie Domain = .freeadsasia.com

When I login it says thanks for logging in, takes me to the index page and I am not logged in.

So I tried:

Photopost Settings

cookie_path = /
cookieprefix = bb
cookie_domain =

vBulletin Settings

Path to Save Cookies = /
Cookie Domain =

The result was the same.

I checked that the vBulletin licence code is correct.

I still can't log in or access the admin panel.

I dunno what else to do except maybe start over and install everything again.

Are you logging into vbulletin and not being logged into vbulletin? I am a little confused by your responses. I cant tell whether its one or both apps. If its both apps then there is an issue with vb and cookies since essentially it is vb creating the cookies.

To test the login with photopost what happens if you try and login here.

http://freeadsasia.com/photopost/mis...ogin&login=yes

Your cookies in both apps need to be this

cookie_path = /
cookieprefix = bb
cookie_domain = .freeadsasia.com

Thanks Chuck.

In Firefox I get:
Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register.

In Seamonkey and Safari I get:
Thanks for logging in.. then I am taken to the user index page.

I have done other tidying up like deleting some accounts etc. Now I can log in using the vBulletin login and I get logged in but I cannot access the Photopost admin panel.

I just changed the cookie domain in the database for VBulletin and Photopost to .freeadsasia.com

The result is the same.

It looks like vBulletin login is now working but not Photopost.

When did the install the connection to the server was not good. When I was checking the above I noticed a lot of the settings I had entered during the install where not there.

I think I should install Photopost again. Do you think just uplooading and running the install script again would be as good as deleting everything and installing again?

I would suggest you rerun through install and make sure your connecting with the proper vb database and correct license number entered and go though the install process entering all the right info so everything is correct and then try. Invalid login points to wrong license number or database info for vbulletin.

Thanks Chuck,

I uploaded install.php and re-installed but then I just got a blank page no matter what page of Photopost I tried to access so I deleted all the PP tables in the database and repeated the install. That fixed it! I think something got corrupted or lost the first time.

Looks like I spoke too soon.

After the install finished I was taken to the control panel so I thought all was OK. After posted here I checked the Photopost index and got a blank page. I thought maybe that is because I have not set anything up in the control panel so I went back to the control panel where I made some changes. Now admin and index just show blank pages.

The link you sent to test the login also goes to a blank page now.

I have set up Photopost a few times before but I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

I just changed the .htaccess file to report errors and get this if I try to access a photopost page:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@freeadsasia.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Checked the server logs:

Quote:
PHP Fatal error: require() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/freeads/public_html/photopost/header-inc.php on line 53

[error] PHP Warning: require(./global.php) [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/freeads/public_html/photopost/header-inc.php on line 53

[error] PHP Warning: require(./global.php) [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/freeads/public_html/photopost/header-inc.php on line 53
I checked config-int.php and the vbpath is correct

That error tells me your vbulletin server path is indeed incorrect in config-int.php on the $vbpath line.

Your htaccess change caused your internal server error so change that back.

To verify what I am saying is the truth leave your path alone if you think its right and turn off your vb3 switches in that file and your index will show. So recheck that path.
