Warnings with a contest gallery.

I am running PhotopostPro6.0 and any gallery set as contest gives the following errors. Any ideas why?

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /hsphere/local/home/mcleve/sandypebble.com/gallery/showgallery.php on line 241

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /hsphere/local/home/mcleve/sandypebble.com/gallery/showgallery.php on line 242

example here.

I just upgraded to 6.01 with no change.
By the way this is a vb3 integration.

I dont see any error there. The error suggests the upgrade script was not ran.

It appears that the error only shows to users with admin rights. As for the upgrade script, this was a fresh 6.0 install then I upgraded to 6.1 just a little while ago. The post refering to the upgrade stated:

You do not need to run the upgrade script for this update; you only need update the changed files.
Either way the error occured before and after the upgrade. Any ideas what the error is all about?

If you upgraded from 5.62 yes you needed to run it. I ran it so remove upgrade.php off your server and you should be fine. You only do not run the upgrade if you upgraded from 6.0 to 6.01

Here is the correct post to quote on upgrade instructions and they are also included in the documentation portion of the download.

As I mentioned before I upgraded from 6.0, so that is not a problem. My issue is the errors mentioned above. This error only occurs with administrator accounts. do you have any ideas what is wrong?

As I stated you should be fine now. You did not have the votes table in your comments table. That was the error those lines refer to.

I had a similar problem. It was caused by the fact that the column "votes" was actually not available in the 6.0 version of the script.

The 6.0 version was the first one that I ever used.

Therefore, you should really add another option to your upgrade script, upgrading the columns table.

Yes downloading the current scripts and running the upgrade script would be correct action when dealing with fixing any bugs that where previously reported and fixed.

In ADMIN => Edit Categories you can set whether a category uses regular ratings or is a contest rating.
