some Problems

HI,
I just installed the pro Gallery on my website.
I used the Coppermine Script to import the photos of the old Gallery into the new on.
I do have a couple of problems.

1.)
Some thumbnails are not showing up if I use Firefox but are OK with IE7.
Example:
http://brasil-web.de/fotos/showgallery.php/cat/8

2.)
Some Fotos are not showing up whe I use IE7 but are OK in Firefox.
Example:
http://brasil-web.de/fotos/showphoto.php/photo/627
(all this photos containing special characters in the name)

3)
I’m not able to turn on the “vB3 Enhanced features”.
If I try to do I get:
Quote:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare convert_url_to_bbcode_callback_auto_title() (previously declared in …………/bw/forum/includes/functions_newpost.php(175) : eval()'d code:1) in /………../bw/forum/includes/functions_newpost.php(175) : eval()'d code on line 42
If I click on a thumbnail to see the photo.

4) only for Information:
Import problem.
After the import I miss some of the old categories.
Solution:
I change the umbers oft the sorting order (in Germen Reihenfolge) in “Edit categories”

I hope you could help with the issues 1-3

Thanks
Christian

1 and 2 well first thing I would suggest is make sure you set the path in Global Options in admin and then go to Scan Database and check rebuild all thumbs and let it rebuild thumbs. Then clear your browser close and reopen and check your site.

As far as turning on your your vb integration it appears you have some hacks installed in vb and somewhere you are redeclaring that specific variable. I have personally never seen an issue like this but try disabling your vb plugin system and enable the integration, If it works then enable your plugins one by one until you find the bad one.

Thanks for quick response.
I rebuild the thumbnails – no success. The thumbnail are there. If I use the code that the Gallery is providing to link on of this Pictures to the Forum it works fine.
Thumbnails are showing up in the Forum – but not in the Gallery and only if I use Firefox.
But it looks like, that is only for imported Photos, no Problems with some test of new Photos (Even not if I download an upload again).

For number 3 you was right.
I have a Hack that red the title of a Website and add the title to the Link.
Disabling that Hack let me enable the Enhanced features.

One mor question.
Where I will be able to edit the Bar on top of the Gallery (with the links to “Home” “personal Gallery”, “Admin” and so on). I like to add a Link to the Forum, if a User comes from the Forum to the Gallery there is no way back.

Thanks
Christian

Okay tell me this. If you set in Admin Layout Options the thumbnail type to just regular thumbnail does it work and not an overlay. Did you make sure you used jpegtran?

You can edit your menubar template though admin edit templates and add a link that you wish.

Hi,
I did not have jpegtran install on the server (debian).
But it is a root server so will be able to install that. I will do that next week, together with a friend he is more familiar with debian.

But I am able to see all thumbnails if I set that to regular.

I will inform you next week.

Thanks
Christian

By the way just to let you know I have no problem now after you rebuild your thumbnails seeing them here in Mozilla.

http://brasil-web.de/fotos/showgallery.php/cat/8

I do not see the other Photo you noted in IE here.

http://brasil-web.de/fotos/showphoto.php/photo/627

This is easily explained by installing jpegtran on your system and downloading say that photo and editing the photo and reuploadind it to have jpegtran strip out the extra info in the headers. It is what is known as the ADOBE IE BUG. The images where not saved by the user as SAVE FOR WEB.

Hi,
I ust looked for jpegtran for Debian but cant find a pckage.
Do you have a link for me?

I was able to find jhead and will install that to get the EXIF Data.

And I read about:exiftran
Quote:
Description: transform digital camera jpeg images
exiftran is a command line utility to transform digital image jpeg
images. It can do lossless rotations like jpegtran, but unlike
jpegtran it cares about the EXIF data: It can rotate images
automatically by checking the exif orientation tag, it updates the
exif informaton if needed (image dimension, orientation), it also
rotates the exif thumbnail. It can process multiple images at once.
It looks like that this is better than jpegtran because it take care about the EXIF data.
Do you think that it will be possible to use that (may be in one of the next version)?
looks that this has the funktion of both other extations.

I have not read on exiftran so not much I can say there. You can post that in our suggestions forums so Michael can see that for future versions.

As far as jpegtran I would suspect this is what you want to install.

jpegtran is usually installed when you installed jpeg library like when installing from here

http://www.photopost.com/howtoinstall-php.html

Have you tried simple ssh into your server and type whereis jpegtran or locate jpegtran to see where it is on the server?

I can see all your thumbs now though like I posted above.
