How do I get rid encryped password

Chuck I finaly talked the lady into getting rid all her old stuff and now she only has a stand alone photo new install.

I got everything working ok but when a new user registers there is a encrypted password showing up ever time you got to information page to register.

attached pic shows what I mean. How do I clear this from coming up.

Gallerys is HERE
If you try and register you will see what I mean.

Interesting see what you mean but I will be darn if I see anything to where we set $password variable to anything in the code. We simply record what is entered compare it to the confirm field md5 it and insert it into the database. At least thats what I see. I will do a little more checking around but nothing in the register php or tmpl files.

Yeah I will ask him when I see him as I dont see anywhere we define any password to fill in there. The entire $password variable is empty.

I been thinking about why this may be. When I installed the PP gallery I was logged in as Administrator with id:1
After that I registered as iloco with new password. This made me id:2

I then deleted user Administrator after making me Administrator. Would this have been any reason for that encrypyed password staying in register page.
Just trying to figure out what may have happened.

After more checking I have found that with IE 6 I do not see the encrypted password. It may be a Firefox issue.
If so would it be the PP coding or Firefox coding....?

Does it show in your stand alone install with Firefox. I registered using IE and didnt see any code in the pasword line.
I cant check that till later today as the computer I am on is IE 6 only.

Well its not a code issue I think. The password contained in that box is my password I use. So what I think it is is Mozilla where I save logins filling in a password box with your default password. So since the password in the box is my password there is no way its a code issue. The photopost program does not know what my password would be.

This is a very strange issue. Maybe Micheal will have an idea.
I have tryed to think of everything I can to get to the bottom of it.

Like you, now thinking its a Firefox issue of not releasing our password since its our password its holding.

I am now wondering if a new person on a different who is using Firefox sees it or not since they havent been there before and saved the password. ?

UPDATE: Chuck I went to a neighbors computer and went to register and the encrypted password place was blank using Firefox.
This means its our Firefox saved passwords that is showing and I guess its not really an issue since New members will not see the encrypted passwords as we do.

Seems its something all the time trying to narrow down issues and problems.

Have you asked a friend? I can just confirm it is a browser issue because my firefox is set to store passwords and of course the password in that box is mine not something the program is making up. My test as stated I put in a test username test email and just filled in my password in the confirm box and the registration went fine meaning that password I see on my site is my password. On your site it is the 4 digit test password you posted in this thread. therefore it pretty much confirms there is no code error here with Photopost. No way to test anything else here that I see since I can confirm this on your site and my site. The passwords you are I are seeing are the ones we have used and entered when logging in so Mozilla is caching your logins. I do think you should be able to clear any saved passwords for sites in mozilla settings and you will see this disappear.

Read my last comment I edited and you will see what I found using a friends computer. You are exactly right with what you are saying.
