upgrade instructions are located in the documentations folder of the download. Short instructions are upload everything except the config or install files and run the upgrade.php file. Select what upgrades you need to go from your current version to 6.0

Locate Version number

I need to upgrade one of my sites but the version must be so old the PHP files don't have a version number listed at the top. How can I locate the version number?

Our version number is located in either of two places. IN your copyright which displays in your footer of the site or in the admin panel viewing the statistics depending of your version.

See attached there is no version number shown.

You are looking in the wrong place; thats the options menu. When you first enter the Admin section there is a summary page of information - the version number should be on there.

Yes you have an older version and the copyright is in the footer of the program. Looks to me like your running version 3.2 or so but your sites footer should show it.

Please post a url here so we can assist further. The picture you post is not from the site listed in your licensing details.

License #16213

When you login in the admin that is the page it takes you to.

Actually this is the default admin index page with no version # listed.

Interesting that license seems to be owned by another person. I show your licenses are for the ocktalk.com site. Anyway the site in question seems to be in violation of our licensing agreement. I do not show where a brand free was purchased for that license. Your copyright should be showing in your footer but it is not.

Your definately on an older version though. Your safe to upgrade from 3.2 forward.

Yep, its owned by a client, but I'm doing the upgrade. I'll rectify the copyright thing on upgrade.

Not a problem just thought I would point that out. Just make sure to go through the upgrades running each one from your version through 6.0 ONLY ONCE.
