image files renamed and moved during upgrade

I recently upgraded from 4.8.2 to 6 and now the 3,000 links to images my users have posted in my forum (vb integration) are hosed.

I'd like to do some mass updating if possible to get the images showing again in the forum. Any advice on how to do it easily, or is this going to be a serious PITA?

Yeah its gonna be a PITA. Our program of course can not support you or anyone posting links elsewhere on other programs or sites. The 4.85 upgrade changes our file system to make it work more efficiently. You can look at this thread to see if there is anything you can do to change things but be careful when working with databases.

Want to upgrade to v5, but is there an easy way to edit vb post links?

No easy answer but definately doable.

The queries show how to correct links in the posts in vb to medium images. To correct thumbs you do the same just using thumbs instead of med.

All depends on your links.
