No as always users can make private albums if you allow but viewing permissions are set by the admin in admin section.

Sorry, you confused me.

So users still cannot personalise their photos or albums per friend?

What you're saying is users can create private albums and we set viewing permissions via the admin-section. That's all well and good but I think certain users want to be able to fitler who can and cannot view their pictures. Setting it by usergroup makes it too vague.

I read somewhere users can use a feature integrated within PhotoPost which, allows them to tagg their photos?

Admin creates categories and sets permissions based on usergroup.

Users can create public albums and they are viewed by usergroup based off the members gallery permissions. Users can create a private album where someone can view it only if the user gives his friend the url to that album and password

That is how this works.

So users can encrypt their private albums with a password, correct?

Can admins override that, meaning will mods/admins still be able to view even though it could be password locked?

Yes admins or mods can see if without the password Users will see the option when creating an album to set whether it is public or private.

OK, am having some problems. It seems as if when a user tries to enlarge an image when clicking in it, it doesn't enlarge but it comes up with a small box which shows the name of image file. :S

If you want an exact precise answer you need to post a link here.

I would suggest with the little info we have here for you to verify the data server paths and urls are correct in admin => Global Options and Storage Options.
