Mutliple Instances of One Photo?!

When I setup PhotoPost, I allowed my community members to assign a photo to multiple categories. However, I was under the impression that this created only ONE instance of the photo. So for example, if a comment or edit was made on a photo, it would update all instances of the photo. But, that does not seem to be the behavior?

For Example:

Is this correct? Or do I have an improper setting? If not, why is this? Can this be changed?!

I don't want to edit all instances if I made a misspelling! It also inaccurately shows the number of comments a photo receives... very misleading...

There is only one copy of the photo itself (one image, not multiple images); but there are three entries for the photo. Changing one would require changing the others as well.

Hmm, I would like to propose a new feature:

When uploading a photo and then assigning it to multiple categories, it should only create one instance of the photo and it's page. All additional category features would just link to the one page the photo is located on. That way all comments and ratings are in one location...

How does everyone feel about this idea?
