Upgrade to 6.0 screw my categories

Hi, I follow the instruction which was posted on this site.

Admin>>global option >>

Use category cache?
On some larger sites, using the category cache can actually reduce performance. I CHANGE TO NO.

Than, I waited for 1 minutes and change back to YES, my categories is screw. Is it ok to leave it off?
