bad login redirect after 6 upgrade

Howdy,

I upgraded to v6 and now when I login it tries to redirect me to misc.php and I get a blank page. The reg system uses PHP Nuke of which I have had problems on many upgrades in the past. If I use the old nuke.php file from v5.6.2 it works for the login, but things look a bit screwy. Any ideas?

BTW, the system is win2k3 server, iis6, mysql 4.0.24, php 4

Thanks, Derek

more info

I didn't realize it redirects to misc.php even on the old v5.6.2 system, so I guess that is correct. It would then seem that the v6 nuke.php is using something my system does not like. I found the difference between the two nuke.php files below. Not sure which part is making it puke, but if I am the oddball system (like usual), I'll just keep commenting functions until it works and then see which function is causing it to break:

REMOVED YOU MAY NOT POST CODE IN SUCH A MANNER. Use PHP tags or code tags to wrap it.

Okay well I am not sure of any redirect errors but then I do not run nuke. Please post a url and a test login here so we can see what happens.

Thanks

Chuck, sorry for the inappropriate code post. The site is http://www.datsun510.com/photopost/ and a test account is:

chaka
foobar

I put the v6 nuke.php in place. Let me know if you want me to switch it back to v5.6.2 or link zipped files of both. Thanks, Derek

No need for help

Chuck, I can already see the issue. It uses PHPNuke for the usergroup values (1, 2, 3 etc.). These do not match the usergroup values of Photopost. I'll figure out the mapping and tweak accordingly. No need to check out and you can delete this thread if you want.

Thanks, Derek

So you did not install to integrate with nuke somehow then. The groups should match between the forum and gallery.

My first install of each was way before integration existed. Probably about time I just reinstall both from scratch to latest versions and restore the data and databases. I'll bet it would match properly then. Thanks.

okay enough and let us know how it goes. All you need to do is delete the entries in your usergroups table of photopost and just run through install.php with things as they are now it should correct anything wrong.
