Thumbs remain after photos are deleted

How do I clear these thumbs? I have deleted the photos already.

Note: Telling me to empty the category is not an option. What if I had 1000 of photos in that category. I need a way to remove these thumbs that remain after photos are deleted (on and individual thumb basis).

Here is a screen shot. As you can see there are 0 photos, however, the thumbs are remaining.

If you turn off your category cache does the problem disappear?

It appears to be a cache related problem. It was just slow to delete. After deleting a picture a blank thumb would hang out for a while. I will post about this again if I experience the problem again.
