Question 5.62 to 6.0 Upgrade breaks category layout

I've attempted to upgrade Photopost Pro 5.62 to 6.0 three times and each time the upgrade appears to complete successfully, but when I view the site, the categories are all messed up. I'm only seeing the category descriptions and it's even displaying the password of our Private Gallery 'smutadmins' (which I've obviously already changed).

I've attached a few screenshots that displays whats happening. So I don't have to take my site down multiple times, I've duplicated site on another server and made sure the config-inc.php and config-int.php reflect the changes and before upgrading I made sure everythingworked. I initiated the upgrade and viola! I have the same problem.

Note: I've been using Photopost Pro for nearly 2 years and have done many upgrades. I've never seen this before.

If it turns out that you need access to the admin, I can PM that info to you.

I've ended up in the same situation when upgraded from 5.62 to 6.0.
(I have no test installation, and have reversed prod to 5.62)

Here are some errors reported by email in case it helps:

An error was encountered during execution of the query:

SELECT id,user,userid,cat,storecat,title,ismature,bigimage,height,width FROM pp_photos WHERE approved=1 AND
storecat=0 AND cat IN (524,a) ORDER BY date DESC LIMIT 29

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Unknown column 'a' in 'where clause'
---------------------------------------------------------
An error was encountered during execution of the query:

UPDATE pp_photos SET username='Admin' WHERE userid=1

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Unknown column 'username' in 'field list'
---------------------------------------------------------
An error was encountered during execution of the query:

SELECT id,user,userid,cat,storecat,title,ismature,bigimage,height,width, id*0+RAND() as rand_col FROM
pp_photos WHERE approved=1 AND cat IN (524,a) ORDER BY rand_col DESC LIMIT 29

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Unknown column 'a' in 'where clause'

Your test site did not have correct server paths looks to me like you deleted all your photos and not all the upgrades where ran. So I would suggest you setup a clean test site with the correct paths urls everything functional and then try upgrading. Make sure to restore your photos table on that test database also.

I have had the same problem. That has solved it:
In Admin
Scan database:
"Check here to update your user table last photo field"
"all categories"
