Red X for Avatars

I just installed the current release of PP and linked it to VB. The gallery users have no avatars. Please look here: http://www.cropperscottage.net/pp

Not sure what the cause might be as I have them turned on in the admin panel.

If you look on the main PP page you'll see missing icons with red x's, next to random images & recent photos. http://www.cropperscottage.net/pp and look here for the avatar issue - http://www.cropperscottage.net/pp/sh...0&limit=recent

See below the user name in the comment, red-x no avatar.

I would suggest you check your forum path in forum options and also in your vb options

You can also edit that custom style your using and in all options make those relative paths to images FULL URLS

It was the forum path setting. If i'd had scrolled over a little more would of seen the the S was omitted in the path for Forums.

Thanks!

I see where no one in this thread has answered the question we asked so how would one expect a solution

I clearly see avatars on my site and others sites as well running the software

Yes, but when a User have choosed to have no Avatar, you will see a red x, but how in the forum, it must be shown nothing. Red X looks very ugly.
I think this is a bug.

No so quick.
The support is great and fast.
Chuck and Micheal do a lot of very good work.
For your money you get a good peace of software with a lot of features.
Or better $ 129 is really cheap if I see the time they working on it

The issue we have here is I have asked for clear concise paths to images of these red x's a few times and no one answers the questions for us to provide support. I have clearly stated I run all the latest browsers which surpress images that do not come up from being displayed which means I see no errors or source from the page to assist therefore i rely on the information a user provides to try and assist. When someone does not respond then the issue can not get settled

I've chosed a user, which don't have a avatar.
Photopost said, the avatar gif is that path http://www.balkanforum.info//customa...atar1158_1.gif
But that couldn't be, because the User has no avatar.
Picture 1 shows a picture from that User.
Picture 2 shows the profile in vbulletin
Picture 3 shows the profile in photopost
Picture 4 shows a post of that user
Attached Images
File Type: jpg avatar1.jpg (59.2 KB, 4 views)
File Type: jpg avatar2.jpg (46.9 KB, 4 views)
File Type: jpg avatar3.jpg (29.3 KB, 3 views)
File Type: jpg avatar4.jpg (48.4 KB, 2 views)

Sorry chuck,
the goal is, that a path couldn't exist, because user have not a avatar, but photopost set a path to a avatar which couldn't exist.
Take a look on my attached pictures, maybe that could help. I can't better in english.
Thx

The problem here has nothing to do with the image not existing. The problem here is no one would post those examples. We already know the image does not exist

Try in your vb3.php that your avatar code is this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Just for info, I'm having the same problem.

When a member does not have an avatar in his vBulletin profile, Photopost tries to display a nonexistent custom avatar based on the member's userid:

.../forum/customavatars/avatar2355_0.gif

2355 is the member's vBulletin userid and the file (avatar2355_0.gif) does not exist, hence the red X.
