403 error during installation
 

When I run the install script, I get the photopost configuration verification screen (where I can input the database information), but when I click on save changes, I get a 403 error:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /photos/install.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I've uploaded the whole folder, and I've got all the permissions set as per the installation guide found here:

what is the permissions on the php scripts? They are 755 right? Anything in your error logs that might suggest what the issue might be. That error suggests the script can not be found.

I even set them to 777, just to be sure.

And it's strange, because after saving the changes, it just goes to the install.php page (which I've already accessed), and giving me that error.

Please handle this issue in one thread or another. There are two open issues on this and I am responding to both here so I am closing this one and will read any more response in your helpdesk thread.

Okay well does your server have any errors in the error logs? Is PHP running on this server as in can you link us a php file?

Example I know before you enable CGI on powweb which reloads twice a day you will get an error like this because PHP is not operational yet on the site

I think I know the confusion ;)

We've bought a second photopost for a different server (www.travelforums.ca). I know PHP works because we currently have a vbulletin forum running on the site.

I'm currently working with the hosting company to get access to the error logs, and I will keep you posted.

Did you remove the .NEW extentions off the end of your config files?
