Error code: 127 - Please Help

Hello,

When attempting to upload pics I get the following error:

Quote:
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/local/bin/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 100x67 -quality 70 -geometry 100x67 -unsharp 10 '/home/canohome/public_html/data/518/thumbs/August06_002.jpg'
Can anybody help me out with this, any idea what might be causing it and how to fix it?

Regards!

I set in the admin global option to DG2 and it fixed it..

Imaging Integration (IM or GD)
Select ImageMagick or GD1/GD2 for image processing

Error 127 means the path to mogrify wasnt set properly; but if your have GD2, you are good to go.

I am using Imagemagic on my site, had the install done by photopost. I started getting this error just today and decided to change to GD2--but now it seems like my site pulls a window error and shuts down in IE (possibly unrelated, I know. But it was the only change)

So I researched here and found my Path for MOGRIFY executable it is set to

/usr/bin/mogrify

I have no idea if that is right or now and cannot find it on my server

I am assuming its right since I used the install service and I don't mind staying at GD2 as long as it doesn't have an adverse effect on my site.

You can ask your webhost where mogrify is on the server you can also change the path and set the processor to imagemagick and try an upload.

GD2 is good as well although if you have Imagemagick I always recommend that

Thanks Chuck, I'll do that.

It seems to be rolling along okay on the GD2 but it sounds like Imagemagic is better if you have it.

Which I do.

Same Error

Verified Imagemagik is available, still get 127 error...

Tried GD2, gave me a Server 500 Error

Tried GD1, image uploads and generates thumbnail, but image is completely dark and illegible...

Any suggestions, would be great.

127 means that mogrify can not be found on the server where you are telling the program it is at in the config
