Safe Mode error

My server runs with safe mode on but the company are working with me to try and get photopost installed however we are getting the following error

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
is this stil a permissions error caused by safe mode please?

if we can't sort the permissions they've already agreed to move me to another server box where it will run but I think they would like to try and get it working as much as me

I am sure your host can tweak it to work any host can if they want to make certain exceptions to safe mode

But your documentation says safe mode must be off, this is clearly not the case

Yes safe mode must be off for proper operation this is an absolute. With safe mode on your data directories and uploads directories are not created.

Your host has no doubt altered there safe mode to allow your site to work

thanks, i understand that but you nearly lost a customer because of the inaccuracy. its only cos i really wanted photopost pro that i persevered with it and took a chance buying it.

i'm still getting errors creating new categories so all is not 100% perfect but it does seem to do what i want.

Inaccuracy? There is no inaccuracy here. We clearly state before buying a license that the requirements are listed right here on our site

http://www.photopost.com/requirephp.html

It does not work with safe mode on. I can not guarantee the application will ever work right while you run with safe mode on.

I do beleive I clearly stated with safe mode set to on uploads may not work and your category directories and user upload directories may not get created leading to lots of issues. That is the most simplistic explanation if what having safe mode on does.
