Out of the blue error...

Has been running fine since installation over 6 months ago and now today I get this. Any ideas? Also my thumbnails in Recent photos now show as "No Image"

http://www.registerofmerit.com/gallery/index.php

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/path/to/php/headtags.htm) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/regirom4:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/regirom4/public_html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 564

EDIT - I apologize for posting this in the wrong forum.

I haven't checked yet to see how many pics this has affected.

Well my question would be is what have you done recently to the server?

Did you host change your paths in that case you want to check your phpinfo and then in global options and storage options in admin update them to the proper paths.

Wouldn't this effect all images in the gallery though? This seems to affect only some images. To answer you question, the server had its PHP updated last night, this has been among the many fires I have spent this evening putting out.

well I cant offer advise until I can actually see your gallery

If the path was wrong yes no images would show. Maybe your host when updating your server restored it from a backup and this is why some photos dont show.

Guests may now view a portion of the Gallery.

Well it looks like I got my answer...

I am in no way a "Guru on all things IT", but I think I am smart enough to know if I am about to make a change like what was done to my server you might want to have a newer backup to restore from than one that is 4 days old.

I am sorry, but seems you will have to re-upload the images that you uploaded

Thanks for all your help on this matter Chuck. This is the first relatively major problem I have had where your software was involved, and even though the issue turned out to NOT be related to your software you were extremely helpful!

Thanks again!

Not a factor once all variables are laid out it is pretty easy to guess what is the issue
