Bad Server or Gateway Lately been receiving a 502 error-Bad Server of Gateway Response when we upload photos. Any suggestions why? |
502 Error (Bad Gateway) - The server received an invalid response from the upstream server that it accessed in attempting to fulfill the request. Thats a generic server message meaning it recieve an invalid response from the upstream sending the file. Might want to contact your host for more info |
Doesn't look like the server. Like I said it only does it for the bulkupload.php file for some reason. |
Website is http://www.unitedstangs.com/photopost |
Hi, I have the same error message. How did you resolve the problem? Link: http://www.hidden-places.de/gallery/...ry.php/cat/720 Best Regards from Germany Martin |
Hopefully the user will respond but this issue would appear to be no issue with the software itself yet an issue with one of the servers involved http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findby...a/502error.htm |
my bugfix: Global Options -> Use Spider-friendly URLs? -> No. "Yes" works only seems to work if the Webserver have a mod_Rewrite Modul. best regards from germany martin |
For spider urls to work you must have in the Apache httpd.conf file AcceptPathInfo On or AllowPathInfo On depending on your version of Apache. |
Sh... after the photo has been uploaded the error message: Error 502, Bad Gateway appears. The photo was uploaded and was shown on the website. Request the internal links to be forwarded after the upload again rewrite mod? Best regards Martin |
This is a yes or no option you can only use spider urls if your server supports them if not then you need to turn them off as you have found out and done. |
Right. But in my Configuration are "Use Spider-friendly URLs?" is set No and the Error-Message come after Upload. Best regards Martin |
Thats not the error you reported. You reported a spider friendly issue which we responded to. As far as bad gateway thats a server communication issue and does not appear to be apart of the software as that specific error notes there is a problem with one server communicating with another in sending the file which means it is not even reaching the software to be processed. Try uploading from another computer etc and test things. You can also post a url and test login here for us to try uploading as well. |
