Upload Problems/Moved to New Server - Check everything

I check all paths & folder permissions. Everytime I test an image upload, I am getting this error:

Quote:
Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/REMOVED/public_html/gallery/uploads/1/002.jpg) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/REMOVED/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 48

Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpFAI3rN' to '/home/REMOVED/public_html/gallery/uploads/1/002.jpg' in /home/REMOVED/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 48

You must ensure that the uploads directory at every level is set to 777 meaning the numeric 1 directory must also be 777

You must also check your php info to ensure safe mode is OFF

Out of curiosity...What are the disadvantages for running PHP in safe_mode? AM I opening up my dedicated server to attacks?

Most servers run with safe mode OFF

It is usually turned on by paranoid hosts. Our product will not run with safe mode on so it must be off. There is no disadvantages to running safe mode on the server other than it will interfere with most any application which deals with product upload or directory creation such as our script.

Ok cool. I noticed something very strange. In my data/506 directory (the folder with the most images in it) for some odd reason I cannot see the medium, mini, and thumbs folders. Plus not all the images are showing. This happens only when viewing the directory with both my FTP clients. When i view it via cPanel, they are are there. And everything is working fine in the gallery.

This is why I could not chmod those folders to 777. I didn't see them. I did it via cPanel and it fixed the problem.

Any ideas?

Just an issue with your ftp client I would assume. The permissions was your issue and now that its fixed your okay
