GD or ImageMagic?

I just ordered photopost pro for use with my vb system.
I am setting up my new server and it has GD already installed, is there any benefit of Imagemagic over GD or vice versa? Just wondering if I should install imagemagic and use that instead? Is one less resource intensive or more features or anything?

Imagemagick is not prone to PHP timeouts as GD is since its part of PHP. If you can install it I would suggest you use it if not GD is fine
