Unhappy No EXIF. :-(

This drives me nuts. I know that it should be simple and Yes I have search the forum but I can't get it to work.

IIS6 and server 2003 and PHP 5.1.4 on dedicated box

In Global Options I have Path to jhead

C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/foto/galerie/jhead/

That would be full server path, right?

I have C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/foto/galerie/jhead/jhead.exe on the computer.

Under Upload Photo Options I have Yes for Display and extract EXIF information from images

When I try to run jhead.exe manually I can extract EXIF. When I try rescan photos and save EXIF information in Photopost all I get is

Checking photo #2: - checking for exif (none) done. for each photo.

Did I miss anything? What am I doing wrong? I am out of ideas.

Thanks for help. Charles

C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/foto/galerie/jhead/jhead.exe

that is your full server path needs to always include the filename

Thanks Chuck. I included jhead.exe but I still got nothing. :-(
Is there anything special that has to be done with for windows setup?
I do not get eny error or any other feedback.

It's very important for me to get EXIF info available.

Thank you Charles

Make sure the directory maybe jhead is set to READ WRITE EXECUTE PERMISSIONS by guests IWAM and IUSER

Then make sure to use a photo that has jhead info and if there is exif info when viewing a photo you should see SHOW EXIF

Still no luck.

Make sure the directory maybe jhead is set to READ WRITE EXECUTE PERMISSIONS by guests IWAM and IUSER

This is done.

Then make sure to use a photo that has jhead info ..

If by jhead info you mean EXIF then yes, there if EXIF info in the picture. I can extract it using jhead on the server manually.

I dont see any SHOW EXIF link or button either. Is that visible only when exif info is available?

I bet that's going to be something trivial.

Please let me know if yiou have any other idea. Thank you. Charles

yes the show exif is only available if the photo has extracted exif info.

If permissions are correct it should work unless your server isnt allowing it to work. Have you checked your server error logs for any hints?

Other than this being some type of permissions issue I dont have a clue so some error might give me some clues here

Hm... :-(

That's not good as EXIF if so important for me. I checked all permissions and as far as I can tell they are ok. On the other hand I am not experienced with managing the Server 2003 so I could be missing something.

Is there any way to see if photoPost can use jhead? Something that would give me any type of feedback. Maybe some php script that would check if jhead is available and working.

I bought the software because I liked it but it did not cross my mind that I could have problem with exif as it is common feature.

I hope I will be able to make it work somehow. Please let me know if someone can help. Thanks Charles
