several problems on upgrade

The first problem, is the name above the profile box is that of another user when clicking their name in albums section. However if you click the thumbnail that represents their album, they are the correct pictures with the right name under them.

Secondly, there is no upload photos link for users. The only one who can see it is admins.

Thirdly I go into the scan database to try and Check here to resync photo/comments usernames/update comments counts and none of those options work.

what name are you talking about a profile box? Please provide example

Give us some background here on what you did so we can support you. Did you move servers? Did you switch integrations to a new forum? Usernames are not going to change and integrations are not going to break just on an upgrade so the issue here is to find out what else you have done that might affect things. You can also place explicit urls here to your forum and gallery and a test login

we were running vbulletin with vbportal, and photopost gallery and the first version of photopost classifieds. We were getting insane server loads on a very robust dedicated server. Thus we did a fresh install of all the software.

On the old domain we upgraded the install of photopost, then we backed up the sql file and restored it to the new install at the temporary domain. Once all the rest of the software was ready, we moved from the temporary domain to the standard domain. All this happened on the same server.

Anyhow I have included two screen shots. Any old galleries, if you click on their membername it opens into the second screen shot. Their profile details (however the name where I circled in RED) is not the same as the name I clicked on in member galleries.

When starting a new gallery it seems to be working.

Also in my screen shots there is an upload photos link, only admins have that link, and I have checked settings etc etc for all usergroups.

well its still not clear all you did to point us to what you could have done wrong although it looks to me this would be related to you and your new install something you did not do correct.

If you sent us ftp and phpmyadmin info to look things over we can take a quick peek to support@photopost.com

You did not by chance use vbulletin's impex script to move your forum as this would explain why your profiles do not match up

As far as users being logged in or what not most likely something off on your reinstall. Did you set permissions do all the usergroups exist under edit usergroups in admin?

yes, i set all the permissions for the usergroups and they do all exist under the edit usergroups in the admin. I did use the impex script as that is the only way I was going to be able to import the 8 gig of information in our forums!

I will email you the requested information.

If you used the vb impex script thats your culprit on the wrong user stuff. If you already ran the update usernames thing from the admin scan database I dont know if we can assist you since that will permanently alter your info the incorrect way. Your issue comes from using the vb impex which changes user's userid's

You can restore backups of your photopost photos and comments tables and download the userfix script in our import forum to fix the wrong userid's on the photos and comments

Chuck, can you help me out again, upload photos link is showing for default vbulletin groups but is not showing for special usergroups I have added to my board. I did use the update usergroups from VB link in the admin section.

You need to refresh usergroups in the photopost admin and then set the permissions accordingly so that they will be allowed to upload
