Error on index.php Page

I installed PP and am getting the following errors:

On the index.php page ...
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/xxxxx/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 32

Also, when I try to sign in to the adm-index.php page, it tells me I can't log in or just refreshes the page without logging me in. I had this problem in the past and can't remember how I got it solved.

Can you give me some information on your setup; it doesn't appear that PhotoPost is connecting to a vb3 database.

I think I had a different database in the config file, so I corrected that and everything was fine. I uploaded a pic and it worked perfectly.

Now, I just went to upload another one, and it doesn't work and I get this message:

Please ftp to your server and set your data and uploads directories at every level to 777 and uploads should work.

I did that (and just did it again to be sure) and when I tried to upload, I got the same errors as before.

Is it just that category that you have issues uploading to?

Make sure all your data directories at every level are chmod to 777. In your upload options what is your thumbnail size and max image sizes set to?
