Question Imagemagick Problem After Server Move

Hi - it get the following error when trying to upload to the gallery since the server move:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/bin/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 100x75 -quality 60 -geometry 100x75 -unsharp 10 '/home/migweb/public_html/gallery/data/500/thumbs/P1000644_Small_.JPG'

I have full access to the server and SSH and have verified the location of mogrify as being /usr/bin.mogrify - so this isn't the issue.

Any ideas on what the problem may be? I'm assuming this is a server config issue as opposed to the Photopost issue as vBulletin is also having issues with mogrify.

Thanks.

I have just updated ImageMagick to the latest version and it still does not work.

I have checked and php safe_mode is turned off.

127 error means your path to image magick is incorrect as it can not be found. Update the config setting with the true path to mogrify like maybe /usr/local/bin/mogrify?

The path that Chuck listed may not be the right path for your server. Do you have shell access? If so login in with Putty or the SSL client of your choice and type locate mogrify. If nothing comes back type updatedb. That will usually take a few minutes to run. When you get back to the prompt type locate mogrify again.

Thats the path you will use

Doing this spits back:
mogrify: /usr/bin/mogrify /usr/share/man/man1/mogrify.1.gz

What does this mean? I have tried /usr/bin/mogrify but that does not work. WHat is the last bit all about?

Ok, I tried /usr/share/man/man1/mogrify.1.gz as the location. Now I get this error:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 126

Command:

"/usr/share/man/man1/mogrify.1.gz" +profile "*" -size 100x75 -quality 60 -geometry 100x75 -unsharp 10 '/home/migweb/public_html/gallery/data/500/thumbs/P1000644_Small_.JPG'

No, thats a link to a manual page.

/usr/bin/mogrify

is your correct path.

Can you try manually running the command it is spitting out? You may need to create a copy of an image you can try it on just to see what happens.

Ok - I've fixed this. The user name and password I was using in the setting (i.e. for the database) did not have root rights. I changed the username and password to one with root rights and it started working straight away. Thanks for the input on this - it may be worth making a note of this in case of future problems for other users.
