Internal Server Error

Need some help please,

I have suddenly started having problems uploading and I'm receiving an "Internal Server Error" message when uploading. I have check the upload folder and the files are in one of the sub folders but they do not get moved across to the data folder. I have not made any mods or changes myself and the permissions on the upload and data folders are set to 777 for all.

My ISP recently sent me this message -
This notice is for only those using PHP 5. If your scripts are in PHP 4, you will not be affected by this update and you can ignore this email.

In the night of 07 December 2006 to 08 December 2006, the current PHP version 5.1.6 will be updated to 5.2.0 on all 1&1 servers.

If you use PHP 5, you will have to adapt your scripts accordingly.

This problem only started yesterday Dec 14th 06.

Any ideas please.

No that would be the issue that I am aware of usually. Clear your upload directory and try uploading a small file does it work then most definately your issue is as posted. If no uploads work are you are that your permissions are 777 at every level on uploads and data directories and the processor your using exists? Maybe something your host changed.

Chuck I have sorted it now thanks. But all I did was clear files from the upload sub folders and it worked with no other changes. Surely this is a bug in the software?

I'm running version 5.5 at the moment.

Nope this is not a bug in the software. Your uploads directory was clogged with too many files. Your using GD2 which is part of PHP and as the thread I pointed out the issue is your PHP memory was being used up hense the blank page. Now you do not see this issue if you use Imagemagick as this is not part of PHP and does not steal PHP's memory as GD2 does.
