MySQL result resource in /gallery/search.php on line 261

Just upgraded to 5.61 however the search function no longer works. I get a database error:
Table 'anime10_forums.search' doesn't exist
I have confirmed the upgrade did rename the search table. I have also re-uploaded search.php but still no luck.

The warning when a member tries to search is:
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /gallery/search.php on line 261
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You must be using old files

Redownload the build and upload all files except your config files. The photopost 5.61 files do not look for a search mysql table that table in 5.61 is searchids. One of the big reasons for 5.61 as most vb users have photopost configed in same database and in some cases no prefix's for either apps. There was a conflict with a vb table name so we renamed ours.

I thought the same. I downloaded the whole installation, edited the config files to suit my environment, uploaded the whole lot, but am still getting these errors. I've even verified the correct version was uploaded by viewing the files with FTP. If you want my FTP access let me know, and then you can verify this.

When I login to the admin area, it does confirm 5.61 as the current version I'm running.

Also did take a look at the search.php file being used, and it does show it is looking in the searchids table. So am baffled...

Thanks Chuck.

www.animeonline.net/gallery is the one that doesn't work.

Our other gallery over at www.aacircle.com.au/forums/gallery works perfectly, so am baffled cause we followed the exact same upgrade instructions.

Thanks for looking into this.

<<EDIT>>

Well, think I found out the problem. Our tables do not have a pp_db_prefix. Hence the search table was also being using by vBulletin. So now "search" cannot be used site wide as it has been renamed to searchids.

Would it be possible to just copy the searchids and create a search table? Does the vb and Photopost search table look and function the same?

Ideally we should go and rename all photopost tables to start with pp_. Do you recommend this? Of course I would then need to update the config-inc.php, config-int.php file, and setttings in photopost admin.

Thank you.

Ok. Fixed. Copied the vbulletin vb3_search table and photopost pp_searchids table from our other installation and renamed them to search and seachids. All seems fine now. Hope this was the correct fix.

Our aacircle domain has all tables prefixed by software type which is much safer. The anime domain doesn't use any table prefixes.

So, would you recommend renaming all photopost tables with the prefix pp_? Nothing should break if I follow the below:
  • Update the config-inc.php, config-int.php file with the new table prefixes.
  • Rename all photopost tables to start with pp_
  • Change the settings in the admin panel.
