Question Woke up to blank pages

Hi there, I have had PhotoPost and Review post for approx 8 months now. I woke up to both programs displaying blank pages. I have these both programs on the same DB. Nothing else is on this data base.

I'm thinking that it's a cashe thing, as I had this problem on my other data base where my PhpBB is stored. Woke up to a blank page on my forums. I refreshed the cashe, and it came back.

Since both PhotoPost and Review Post went down at the same time, I'm ruling out a software problem. Any ideas?

Cheers. Rusty

Well without any errors it is hard to respond.

I would suggest you check your server error logs for any errors and post them here so we can see if they assist.

You can also ensure the database info is correct in the config and the databases your pointing to.

Nope no help there. Did you check out your config files and databases to ensure the information is correct. You sure your photopost and reviewpost directories and all the files exist and where not deleted?

All files and directories are fine and untouched. DataBase user names and passwards are untouched and correct. Just got off the phone with the server hosting my DB and they say nothing has changed. I can log into my DB and everything is there.

well we need to have an error here to have something to work with your not posting an error so it is hard to give advise here to what might be your issue since your saying everything is fine.

Maybe your host changed your servers paths. Check your config-inc.php file and ensure the $PP_PATH and $RP_PATH statements are correct

ok, I just created an .htaccess file and these are the errors I receive. They are the same errors in Photopost and Review post.

Warning: main(/services2/webpages/r/i/riubambu.com/public/photopost/languages/english.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /services5/webpages/r/i/riubambu.com/public/photopost/pp-inc.php on line 175

I'm not sure where the services5 is coming from......

I changed to services5 and both programs are back, but a few errors. Some stuff still linking to services2, like header, footer, and no thumbs. I'll keep working away.

It appears that the server changed it's path. I did a phpinfo and the old path is still there. Not sure what the services5 is all about. I'll blast them tomorrow morning. In the meantime, any ideas in getting the things back? Thanks

Well, I thought that everything was fixed and I did a database scan and I think that I lost everything. Everything was working photos, albums, and when I did a db scan, it deleted all the photos. all 5000. The data base is tiny now. But all photo are still in the data directory. Am I screwed?

Did you try rebuilding photos with the wrong path? You need to restore the photos table and correct the global and storage options in admin.

ok, Review Post seems to be working. I can uplaod new items and photos.

Photo post has these errors when trying to upload

I'm using the server path /services/ same as in the Review post. I have changed it in config and intergration but still get these errors. Why is it still coming up as /services5/ and /services2/ .

My server also changed my DB user name. I just found that out while talking to them. I have added the new user name and Review Post seems to be working fine.

Also, How do I rebuild table to make photos come back. Thanks. Rusty

Your global options and storage options in admin must be updated to the new path more than likely your storage options still are set to the old path. You can view that and hit revert and save twice to load the corrected path from global options

You can not get photos back without restoring a backup of the mysql photos tables, You do take backups right?

ok, Fixed the storage options and the Software is working. My last backup is awhile ago, but I guess that it's better than nothing.

Well you do that either by using PHPMYADMIN through your control panel or SSH if your server has it. You host could probally help there since they caused this issue by changing all this without any notification to you.
