no fields in edit profile 5.6?

I have two PP 5.6 installations.
One shows me different profile fields and one shows no fields.
Same set of files. Same upgrade script.
They both read 5.6.

Edit: Actually I don't even need the profile since I'm using vBulletin.
Is there an on/off or do I remove Profile from the nav bar?

But I still would like to be sure PP is running properly.

Check your Admin Options -> Registration Settings and "Do you want to prompt for optional info during registration?" and set this to YES.

Ah. That's it. Thanks.
Since I already use vB's profile, I don't need a 2nd.
Is the only way to remove the profile link from the template?

Edit: I thought I'd edit menubar.tmpl, but obviously that is not the right way to go.

We don't have an option to turn it "off"; it's the default view for the member.php page.
