My PP pro images gone..now what? I cut my veins?

I made the upgrade for my VB forums from 303 to 362, everything worked like a dream.
I even installed the vbadvanced and put a real nice hack to pull images from my photopost pro software to the Portal:
www.auto-mania.com.mx

BUT I had problems with the PP 5.13 Vb 362 integration.

The Navbar and everithing wouls show up perfectly and even my adinistrator name would appear but NO admin options and when I wanted to see anything I would tell I coud not , that I had to LOGIN ! . so I tried to log in and screen appeared telling me that $user was already logged in ...bu I could not see anything?

After browsing the member area for HOURS, I checked and rechequed all my cookies, my domains, my licence and all the usual suspects, NOTHING seemed to fix it.
On top of that I could not access anything in the adm area, I even switched off the Vb inetgraion but I could not gei into the adm area....

At my wits end.... I opened up the install.php file an procesed to retype all the config variables, I did chem am and (I retyped them) and voila my PP now lets me log in perfectly and get to the adm area...

Perfect right?

Well not so, now my PP pro sits there tellng me I have 0 megabytes of info and 0 photos, no categories...no nothing....

The data path is correct and the fata folder contains all the images so as of now I am not considering suicide, but I checked my DB in PhP my admin and I think the upgrade dropped the tables and that is why my PP pro is sutting empty as we speak...
any hints on how to recover my images....?

thanks a lot

Hello

I would assume this is because you have reinstalled Photopost into a new mysql tables as in your older photopost did not have the prior prefix. You can rerun install if you choose and make sure the config table prefix is correct.

Thanks Chuck for your prompt response!

Nope I did that because I could not access my PP in any way so I figured ou that the only way I could gain access to te instalation variables was using the Installer!
What I did not know is that even If I did not runn throught the install my mysql tables would be dropped (or emptied) I know this because in myPhP IO check the tables I have in the database an all that start with pp they show 0 rows!!!.
My pp dtabase resides within the vb database...

I guess the entries on the sql database were emptied by the installer....

Waht would you do...restore the whole thing and then re do the vb upgrade froma scratch?
Can I rewrite the tables on my ACTUAL db with the backup I have but just the pp tables so I "recover" my lost tables info (is that posible anyway?)

or better is there a way to rebuild the info?

let me know... my server is unix, the url are:
www.automania.com.mx for vb
www.automania.com.mx/foro1 for pp

thanks a lot!

Our installer never drops tables so you installed in a different database maybe.

Basically you need to restore backups of the database or find where the old photopost tables are

Ok here is where I am at now:

I reinstalled the backup and returned to zero, redid the VB upgrade, redid the portal, and heck..I got the same problem as before so hereis the info:

VB362 and PP 513 share the same sql unix database.
I log perfectly to VB and works and everithing...
I switch to PP and in the navbar my name appears and the headers and such but the admin button is ot visible just the register!...
If I press register it tell me that: "you are already regsister by the name $bbuserinfo[username]" bal bla bla....

I cant change the cookie settings on PP because there is no way I can get to login as an admin!
I have changed the settings on VB to all blank/none, to the others and still in square one....

any hints help ? the url is www.auto-mania.com.mx in the dead center of the top navbar it says "GALERIA" thats is the button to the PP db...

thanks again Chuck

Maybe I need an upgraded Vb3 file in my PP pro 513?
