Question Blank upload page

I've searched through the forums and can't find an answer to this.

I had some difficulties when I upgraded to 5.5 I repaired several tables and was finally able to get my gallery up and running. The galleries look ok.

After I login I select upload photos. What I then get is a blank page:
http://www.mikewaite.com/gallery/uploadphoto.php

I've checked my usergroup settings and other upload settings. I have permission to upload and I have given myself unlimited space to upload. I have permissions to upload to my categories.

Can anyone give me an idea what may be causing this and a fix to the problem?

A little more information

I integrate my forum with phpbb2. Otherwise my gallery is fairly simple.

I would suggest you try to reupload the templates and your main PHP files especially uploadphoto.php

Now one thing also did you run all the upgrades needed? Do your server error logs say anything?

Now not recognizing me as admin

I was logged in as admin yesterday looking at my settings. Today, I get the login successful screen and then takes me back to the gallery page there are none of the admin or upload photos menus. So I can't go into the admin menu.

Using phpmyadmin I looked at the pp_users table and although the structure is there there seems to be no data. I cannot browse that table. I'm assuming that's where I would have settings showing me and my registered users.

My pp_usergroup table looks ok to me.

I integrate with phpbb2. I show up as administrator in my phpbb2 tables and can get into the administration site for that.

Although my gallery is up and people can view it I need to fix this problem.

I'm also wondering why I'm having some of the problems I've had. I do no mods and have kept updates fairly current for both Photopost and phpbb2.

You have a regular test user login?

Basically your site looks fine except your upload page is blank so that tells me something is amiss here with that specific script?

Does your server error logs note anything? In admin => global options set debug setting to display errors.

I cannot get into my admin area. The problem I have today is that although I get a login successful screen it really doesn't log me in. I go back to the same screen with "login" as the menu item rather than a logged in site where there is "admin", upload photos" and "logout" as menu items.

That tells me you have not ran all the upgrades you need to get into admin and set debug setting to display errors that will tell you what the error is

You gonna post a test user here for me to see what your cookies are like?

Gone from bad to worse

Chuck,

Here are some of the things I did yesterday.

I contacted my isp and asked how to find my server logs, and how to show errors. At that time I could not get into my admin area of Photopost.

My isp replied " you can edit the file: /etc/php.d/99user.ini
and change: display_errors
to On (at the bottom of the file), then restart your VDS from the VDS Manager to update this change."

I did that. My server log was filled with messages errors about two tables that had crashed last week. I had found those tables and repaired them, thanks to your help on another thread last week and my gallery was up again.

Here is what the server log says since the tables were repaired:
061023 18:06:27 [Note] Found 0 of 1 rows when repairing './mikewaite/pp_cache'
061030 14:17:21 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Normal shutdown

061030 14:17:21 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown complete

061030 14:17:22 mysqld ended

061030 14:17:24 mysqld started
061030 14:17:25 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: ready for connections.
Version: '5.0.24' socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' port: 3306 dedicated variant

I was also looking in phpmyadmin for signs that other tables may have problems. The only problem I saw was in the pp_cache table. The primary and index keys were both refering to the same field and the table showed this as a problem. I changed the index key to refer to the timestamp field and left the primary key refering to the id field.

After that I was in the process of reuploading my files. I had reuploaded the templates, the phpbb2 forum file and earlier in the day had reuploaded the uploadphoto.php file. Uploading was slow yesterday and I had not gotten to the other files to re-upload.

I made a test login for you to use as you instructed in a previous message.

When I went to the site to test the test login there was no gallery at all as you've seen.

I'm back to where I was early last week when I had no gallery. I know you have a good solid program that should be working. I have no idea what caused two of my tables to crash which seems to have been a source of some of the problems. I haven't uploaded images for a month, nor made any major changes as administrator. When I upgraded I upgraded from 5.31 to 5.5.

Where do I go now? Re-upload the files and run upgrade again? I appreciate the help I've been given.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: authenticate() in /var/www/html/gallery/index.php on line 48

very straight forward your integration file does not exist so your missing files as I posted above in my last post. authenticate is defined in your phpbb2.php file.

You need to properly upload all files You seem to be going back and forth with bad file uploads which explains most any error here

Will re-upload files

Chuck,

I'll upload all the files from the 5.5 upgrade. Do I run upgrade.php again?

Thanks,
Mike

Smile Gallery is working again

Chuck,

After installing the files again the gallery is up.

My other problems- login- and uploading images seem to be alright.

I'm not sure why two of my database tables, pp_cache & pp_iponline crashed. I'm guessing that that may have been the start of my problems.

Thank you for your support in helping me fix my gallery.

Question Login problem again

Chuck,

I got my gallery up and going again as indicated in my last message.

I logged in to admin

I backed up the tables in the database.
I deleted a category.
I created a new category

I successfully uploaded 27 images into the new category.
Everything looks fine

I logged out.

Came back 30 minutes later and cannot logon.

I created a test login yesterday that you can use to see what's happening.
