You are not a valid administrator or moderator!

I have been reading threads here for the past 3 hours on this issue. All my cookie, prefix settings etc, match the forum. When I login with my admin account to adm-index.php it says "You are not a valid administrator or moderator!". If it helps to know my pp_usergroups and pp_users are empty. Should I have data here? Everything else is working fine so far but I have yet to view the admin panel so I can set all the permissions etc.

Using VB 3.6

pp_usergroups should not be empty kind of eludes that the mysql table prefix was not right on install and we could not input the groups

add this query and you should get in and you can refresh groups

INSERT INTO pp_usergroups VALUES (6,'Administrator',1,1,1,1,'','','',1,1,1,0,0);

Yes I actually had to manually change the table prefix after doing the install. This worked perfect and is a lot easier than reinstalling. Thanks a bunch!

I appear to be having this issue also.

I ran the "INSERT INTO pp_usergroups..." statement, am able to get into the admin interface, but then as soon as I tell it to refresh the usergroups with vb3, it kicks me out and gives me the same message again.

Any ideas on what I'm missing? Thanks!

Are you using mysql 5 in strict mode?

Try this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Then do the admin insert and refresh

Sorry, just saw this question. Yes, it was on. As soon as I turned strict mode off, it worked.

You are not a valid administrator or moderator!

Hi,

I am having the same problem after upgrading to the latest version of Photopost.

This was an upgrade, not a new install.

I have integrated VB3 with Photopost, where I am an administrator. I am able to access the VB3 admin are, but not photopost anymore.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Shane
