Missing "buttons" after upgrade

I just upgraded to 5.5

Since then - a couple of the "buttons" are missing from the program.

1) on the search page - all the info is there to fill in, but there is no "search" button or anything to click on to execute the search

2) On the admin side - I wanted to rebuild my thumbnails, but after selecting which items to run, etc - there is no execute button (under the scan database link)

My site is password protected - so if you need to view to give feed back, let me know and I will PM a login/password

in addition to the missing button problem - many of my users are experiencing browser areas on some of the categories in my gallery.

It appears that the category trys to load the images, then they get a generic browser error (unable to load page, site having problems, etc)

This is what one of my users said:
It's something that is happening at the very end of the page loading. Because if I get the error, then use the back button to go back to the page (all the info/pictures are there) and then I STOP it from reloading the page, the entire page is there.

I can click on any of the pictures and it brings up the page of the individual card fine.

It appears that the errors that my users are getting are independent to internet explorer - those of us who are using FireFox don't have a problem viewing categories, etc.

The buttons in the search, etc, however are not browser dependent - they just are not there!

The IE error comes up when you try to click on a "sub category". Main category comes up fine - sub categories error

It looks to me like issues with template edits you have made or code from your header footer your search page looks all jacked up.

I would suggest you ensure to reupload all the files except config files and turn off your header and footer and see if this resolves it. It is shows without the header footer on then your issue might be there.

I have not changed the header or footer since upgrading (and all worked fine before the upgrade) and I have not made any template edits since the upgrade.

I just uploaded all the files again, ran the upgrade script. I have removed all from the footer - it is still not working properly.

We can not upload, search, etc - nothing that requires a "button" to execute.

In addition, anyone using IE can not browse our gallery

Try placing at top of pp-inc.php below the error_reporting line this

ini_set("memory_limit", "40M");

Try also viewing your server error logs without an error we are just stabbing in the dark. Looks to me though it craps out trying to print all your cats

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_posterscache() in /home/ngelfc/public_html/members/gallery/index.php on line 184

I don't know how to read the error logs - but have cut and pasted some below. There are several that it looks like somewhere it is not putting in the / between the directory name and the file name

I backed up all the tables and downloaded files before upgrading. Is it possible to restore my pp to what it was before the 5.5 upgrade?

I am baseing my responses off your errors posted

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_posterscache() in /home/ngelfc/public_html/members/gallery/index.php on line 184

Your script on search and upload etc is timing out your PHP on the server and as such you must add the line I noted ini_set to pp-inc.php

What errors exist in your server log now?

Try also adding this under the ini_set line

ini_set("max_execution_time", 0);
