Template and New Versions

I'm currently using PhotoPost 4.81 and when I did the customization a few years ago it was an absolute nightmare as I would say 25-30% of the edits had to be made in the PHP files themselves, even though they were only to edit the "look" of the site. I also recalled the consistancy of the templates to be all over the place with CSS names different even though it did the same thing etc.

I have a new project and was considering using PP in a vB integration, however I wanted to know from those of you who have done extensive templates edits if anything has changed in the latest versions? Have they cleaned up the templates and REALLY seperated the code from the interface (templates)?

Cheers,
Jeff

I would not be posting your site like that. 4.8 and older software are prone to several security issues which security companies freely post internet wide which I think is a bad thing. You need to upgrade any 4.X or older site immediately!

Okay enough of the warning. The templates contain most of the html and I consider the classes consistent but thats just me. There are certain instances where html is generated in the php for good reason and will continue to be generated there for instance the cat dropdown box. There have been tons of changes new additions and 5.5 is way better than 4.8 which is like 2.5 years old
