Angry Tried to upgrade from 5.21 to 5.5

Well I followed procedure, made backup, uploaded new files and configs. When I did the upgrade.php, first I had issues saying that turbomopar.settings didnt exsist. I procedded anyway to do the 5.3 to 5.5, and I get blank screeen. Restore db and tried again. No joy. I found there was a mistake in the upgrade.php file from 5.21 to 5.3... there is a mistake under the 52 section in the last query item for UPDATE. Anyway moved pass that, no more errors, but I still get a white screen when trying to do 5.3 to 5.5. What the heck!

Help!

The query above is simply missing this in front of settings for the table prefix

{$pp_db_prefix}

I dont get a white page when doing the 5.3 upgrade is works fine

Well then you all need to QA your process better. I fixed the 5.3 code of the upgrade.... lots of changes needed...

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I verified in the sql that those changes were made, so upgrading of the database is successful, however there is still the mistake that it doesn t upgrade the version number.... I didnt really care about that, so I moved on. However it would be a good edition to check that field to force whether or not a user can run a particular upgrade... basically idiot proofing it.

I am still trying to figure out why I have a blank page on my index.php
