| Install Issues
Ok, I bought it today, and installed it today.
There are only two issues I am having.
1: Since the install, when I log out of my forum I get the confirmation page. Yet when I click on any link I am automatically logged back in. This needs to get worked out.
2: I first uploaded some images and of course, they defaulted into my dump folder. Then I created an album and moved each of them manually through the "edit image" functionality (not in the admincp) to the new album.
They all moved fine but on the index page, all of the thumbs are broken. I have rebuilt and scanned the database several times. Still broken on the index.
Help with these would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, very straight forward install.
The only thing I would really like to see is a PLUGIN for vbulletin 3.6.x to show images on the forum home. I don't like all of these template edits.
Also: I have installed PPP into it's own database to prevent ANY corruption between the two. I still want to show thumbs and info on forum home.
Can anyone SERIOUSLY swing this? LINK TO GALLERY

Well it looks like after about a half hour or so, all of the thumbnails are now magically working!?!
Why, when I post a link here that leads directly to the photopost index, does it throw a database error?

Are you sure you assigned YES to allow uploads to the usergroup that your account is assigned to?
I had this problem too today but once I set it in the PPP admincp, it worked fine.

Yes, everything is fine. Accept that now something is screwed up with my cookie. I can't log out of the forum.
Or, like I said. I can, but am automatically logged back in when I view the next page.

Check both your forum and your photopost. Your cookies must match. I can only assume your forum has your cookies set one way and your photopost another.

Will do.
You know, I think there should be the option to deny usergroups from viewing the gallery. . . that seems to be the only thing missing.
One HUGE thing that could be improved is the user interface. It really isn't very intuitive. It is usable, yes. But could be made super nice IMO. The links are placed all over the place and this requires some getting used to.
I think it should be very obvious, for a novice, how to immediately begin using the gallery.
Maybe a more graphical UI. It would kick ass in a huge way, if you used AJAX to sort, and order images. Then you could remove most of the check boxes etc. involved with that functionality. . .
I mean. For the cost of this application, there should be more development in this direction for sure.
Seems to have GREAT Customer Support so far. Kudos to you for that Chuck!

You can deny usergroups from viewing categories in Admin => Edit categories

These checked usergroups can view images in this category.
unless a usergroup's overall VIEW access is disabled.
Shouldn't it read like that? Why can't I set this permission in the USERGROUP settings? Just like the rest of the permissions listed here?

There is no need for this to be in usergroup settings thus it does not read like you want it to. Category viewing permissions is strictly set in category options. Usergroup permissions and category permissions are separate. Only in the case of upload and commenting permissions is there a global and refined permission.
