| Changed Servers - some users can't upload now
I switched servers and reopened my forum/gallery yesterday and now I have a problem with some of my users can't upload any longer.
I'm currently using Photopost 5.3 and have it integrated with vbulletin 3.0.7
I'm not sure what the common denominator is for the users that can't upload as I've now had 2 of them contact me (both in seperate usergroups) who can't upload.
I've refreshed usergroups from vbulletin and gone through and made sure that those usergroups can upload in the permissions in Edit Usergroups.
One of them gave me their login info and I tried to upload under her username.
I was able to browse the file I wish to upload, and when I click Upload/Submit button, I get the Preparing to Process Image page and then The Page Cannot be Displayed error. I've double checked the file size and it's appropriate (tried numerous file sizes) and made sure that it's a .jpg file which is listed in the acceptable image file types.
However, I'm able to login under my username and upload just fine as can many other users.
Also - not sure if this is related or not.
When you first bring up my gallery - without ever having logged in or if all cookies/temp internet files have been cleared, I get an error at the top of the gallery
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/web1/web/gallerypp/forums/vb3.php on line 25
I've searched this error message in the other posts on this forum and all of them seem to say that this means that photopost is unable to connect to the user database. However, I've double checked the table prefix and it's correct and I would assume that I wouldn't be able to login and post if it wasn't connecting to the user database.
Thanks,
Lianne

Make sure your new server folders are all set to 777 or "WRITE, WRITE, WRITE"
When I moved I had to go in and reset each of my dozens of folders to 7.7.7. |

thanks for replying
I've double checked and all of my data and upload folders are 777.
Still not working and I've got a few more people contacting me now saying they can't upload. They get the same, "page cannot be displayed".

This would help on uploads which are not processing
as far as line 25 error it does not appear to me you have reinstalled things correctly with vbulletin since it can not query the user database.

The different files I've tried uploading under her username are all under 124 kb - some as small as 80kb. None of them are working. But, most people are able to upload without problems, including me if I'm logged in as myself.
If it's not querying the user database, wouldn't there be an issue where nobody could login to the gallery and post? For most users, everything is working fine.

I am simply responding with the errors your posting and you can post a url and test user login here
Try clearing the users uploads directory under uploads as they could be so backlogged and too many unprocessed files for them to upload at all.

Yes your definately not integrated correctly. You should never get a mysql query that it can not grab info. Check the user database info make sure its set to look into the vbulletin database. Make sure in mysql settings table of photopost setting 41 is vb3 and setting 83 is the correct table prefix.
Your uploads clear all uploads directories under the uploads directory in photopost. Make sure uploads and data at every level is 777

I double checked my user database and the settings are the same as the photopost settings above because I have vb3 and pp in the same database.
Line 41 in the database is set to vb3 and 83 is vb3_ which is the correct prefix for all of my vbulleting tables.
What next..LOL.

Ok...I deleted all of the folders in the uploads directory and then tried again to upload with the username of one of the users that was having problems and it still didn't work. I looked after trying this and her folder was recreated in the uploads directory.
I went and uploaded a photo under my username and it created the directory for my userid as well and then after the photo was uploaded, it was no longer in my user directory under uploads but my directory remained there. Should these directories be deleted automatically if there are no pending uploads?

Are you sure your files are not corrupt?
I mean what I see if your being forwarded to bulkupload and there is a white page. If your uploads directory is empty it cant be a PHP memory issue and I gave you a fix for that so I can only assume your bulkupload script or template is corrupt
Have you tried reuploading the photopost files minus any config files?

well I know see the second stage of bulkupload where the thumbnail is generated whereas before you did not see that.
Make sure the image-inc.php file is properly uploaded
without admin login and ftp info to your server I can not say anything more here

I can give you temp admin access but it can't be with that username/password since I already posted it public...LOL.
If you'd like to sign up with a different username and then let me know what it is, I will give you admin access.
Also, I can create a temp ftp acct as well so you can look in there too if needed.
Thanks,
Lianne

OK....before we go that route, I realized my "black hole" email address wasn't being checked and was filling up with MySql errors.
Here's what they say:
An error was encountered during execution of the query:
SELECT u.userid,u.username,u.email,u.password,u.usergroupid,u.timezoneoffset,s.sessionhash,u.salt,s.lastactivity,u.membergroupids FROM vb3_user u LEFT JOIN vb3_session s ON s.userid=u.userid WHERE u.userid=3Sbbuserid
The query returned with an errorcode of:
Unknown column '3Sbbuserid' in 'where clause'
What's causing this and how do I fix it as this obviously has something to do with it.

well that would means you have someone with a bad cookie as a vb userid cookie is always numeric. However as I already noted without more error posting all I am doing is guessing. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
I still say post 4 will help with uploads Changed Servers - some users can't upload now
1. You need to make sure your uploads and data paths are correct in global options and storage options in admin
2. You need to make sure the uploads and data paths are 777 at every level
3. clear your uploads directory of all directories and files beneath it

OK...well, I was finally able to upload with that username/password - I'm waiting to find out if others who were having the same problem are able to upload.
Next problem:
It seems that photo options (Add to favorites, Post a Comment, Report Photo, Print View, Send as e-Card, Receive Email Updates and All Admin Options found under the additional info of the photos all lead to the same image: http://www.3scrapateers.com/galleryp....php?phoedit=4
However - that photo does not exist in the database.
I know this shouldn't be happening, but it's also confusing members because they think they are trying to edit their own photo, but in all reality, it's trying to edit someone else's - so they are denied permission.
Me, being logged in as admin am able to get the edit photo screen (even though it's not to the image I'm trying to edit), but I get a warning at the top: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Of course since the photo (#4) doesn't exist in the database, there is no thumbnail and I'm not able to do anything with it.
I had to turn off email errors because I was literally getting flooded with the same error mentioned in my last post - within the past couple of days, there were over 25,000 of these messages. You say this is a corrupt cookie - how do I make this go away as I obviously can't delete everyone's cookies from their computer.

upgrade your photopost to the latest. The phoedit error is a bug that has long since been fixed
