Fatal Error after upgrading vB to 3.6.1

just upgraded my vBulletin from 3.5.x to 3.6.1, and now i get the following when trying to access PhotoPost:

Fatal error: [] operator not supported for strings in /home/www/thebreakfast/photopost/index.php on line 187

line 187 in index.php reads:

any ideas?
