Thumbnail don't show up after upgrade

I purchased an upgrade service from photopost.com and my Gallery was upgraded from 4.7 to 5.31. the other day. I would like to thank Chuck for the good job but I still need some help after the upgrade as follow:

1. What file do I edit to make my native language to appear properly ? In version 4.7. I edited line 270 of the pp-inc.php changing the charset=iso-8859-1 to charset=utf-8 but in version 5.31 I can't find that line.

2. I used the thumbincluder MOD written by Matt Chroust to show the latest thumbs accross my phpBB2 forum in version 4.7, but the thumbsnails don't show up in version 5.31. Anyone use this MOD that work in the new version please help.

1. You can create your own language file but as a note the charset lines are within the languages directory in the language files themselves.

2. I dont know if there is an updated mod of that specific thing but there are mods you can look at in the modification forums which are below the support forums here
