How to upgrade from 4.7 to 5.31

I run an old photopost version, version 4.7 and want to upgrade to 5.31 but I can't find instruction to upgrade from 4.7 to 5.31. There is no upgrade folder in version 5.31 or specific upgrade instruction so I need help with upgrading.

Check your documentation folder upgrade.txt

Basically you upload everything except config-inc.php and run the upgrade script and select every upgrade version you need to run ONCE.

I figure out that I need to edit the config-inc.php.NEW and config-int.php.NEW and rename the file as .php extension.

I was able to upgrade from
4.6 to 4.6.7 successfully
4.6.7 to 4.7 successfully
4.7 to 4.8.2 successfully

I don't quite understand the message that come up after each version upgrade below:

" This install script will upgrade your 4.8.5 or 4.8.6 release. Only run this upgrade if you have the 4.8.5 or 4.8.6 version of the database in place (either by previous upgrades or if upgrading in order to the latest)."

I hit Proceed to Upgrade after this and I got the following error.

Warning: main(/home/sites/yoursite/photopost/languages/english.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/pp-inc.php on line 175

Warning: main(/home/sites/yoursite/photopost/languages/english.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/pp-inc.php on line 175

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/sites/yoursite/photopost/languages/english.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php/PEAR:/usr/local/share/pear') in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/pp-inc.php on line 175

Please tell me where I can get the missing stuff. It seems that I am missing some versions

Photopost upgrading is very unfriendly. Not like phpbb2. Photopost upgrade instruction left out too much detail. In version 5.31, you have to edit config-inc.php.NEW and config-int.php.NEW and rename both files to config-inc.php and drop out the .NEW extension

And I'm stuck in the middle of the upgrade with error.

The upgrade is pretty easy. Upgrade instructions are included in the documenations folder. It would seem by the error your posting that your have overwrote your config-inc.php file which the upgrade instructions state not to do. Try making sure everything in your config-inc.php is correct especially the $PP_PATH which should be

/hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra

Thank for your help but I still has error.
I restore the database with the backup and upload the old config-inc.php and redo the upgrade again and did as you said and I got the following error.

Warning: main(config-int.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/header-inc.php on line 11

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'config-int.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php/PEAR:/usr/local/share/pear') in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/header-inc.php on line 11

The upgrade looked for the config-int.php but can't find it. There is no where in the upgrade instruction telling people that they have to edit and rename the config-int.php.NEW and drop out the .NEW extension. After I dropped the .NEW extension and uploaded it, I was able to make some progress and reached all the way to the "file moving" part but has the following error. There are just a small part of it.:

Warning: fopen(/hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/data/1/thumbs/index.htm): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/pp-inc.php on line 3252

This step has completed. If you had file errors, you can REFRESH this page to keep moving files or retry moves that did not work if you fixed any permissions issues.

When you are finished, click here to continue to next step --->

I click on the link and go through the next part but has error below:

Warning: unlink(/hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/subscribe.php): Permission denied in /hsphere/local/home/ganoico/mysite.com/photopostextra/upgrade.php on line 1940

Upgrade complete! You should continue to next step

We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.

Please tell me what I've done wrong. I can always restore my backup database and try to upgrade on this test gallery until everything work ok then I'll try to upgrade my main gallery.

You need to restore your backup of the database since I dont know where you are in the process.

Make sure as I previously stated that you overwrote your config-inc.php file that it has the proper information in it.

Please read the upgrade.txt file in the documentation folder which provides upgrade instructions

Make sure your data folders at every level are 777 it would appear they are not. Especially if we can not fopen the index files that should be in the new directories created by the upgrade

Run any required upgrade once.
